Interventions
Interventions
Section titled “Interventions”Interventions describe evidence-informed actions that can help create, preserve or restore health and improve LifeQuality.
Unlike Health Topics, which are organised around conditions, Interventions are organised around actions. Many interventions contribute to multiple health conditions simultaneously and therefore serve as common building blocks for prevention, treatment and long-term health creation.
Within the Practice Knowledge System, interventions are presented as evidence-based options rather than prescriptive recommendations. Scientific evidence informs available choices, while individuals, healthcare professionals and communities work together to determine the options most appropriate for each person’s circumstances, preferences and values.
Each Intervention page will typically include:
- Scientific rationale
- Evidence summary
- Benefits
- Risks and limitations
- Practical implementation
- Related health topics
- Related patient resources
- Current research gaps
